Plenary Assembly of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe

On May 29th, the First Plenary Assembly of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe headquartered or having active members in Italy took place in Rome, in the Sala Spadolini at the Ministry of Culture, dedicated to “Best practices, cooperation, prospects”.
The Phoenicians’ Route has been selected as a best practice, in the second session dedicated to funding and access to European funds.
The day brought together representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the Council of Europe, the Ministry of Tourism, the academic world and certified cultural routes, and was organised into three thematic areas: management and governance of certified Cultural Routes, funding and access to European funds, alliances and cooperation between Cultural Routes.
An institutional discussion on issues crucial to the future of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe active in Italy and their role in cultural, regional and European policies.
