For 16 years, the Italian national event has been promoting the enhancement and safeguard of the so-called \u201cminor\u201d cultural heritage assets that risk being abandoned and erased from the historical memory of people. For this reason, it is patronised by MiBACT and has already received numerous honours from the Presidency of the Italian Government. This year, the main event, which will host volunteers of Archaeological Groups from all over Italy, will be held in Sicily, in the Selinunte territory, from <strong>October 9<sup>th<\/sup> to 11<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>organized by the Selinunte Archaeological Group\u00a0<\/strong>and fully shared by the\u00a0<strong>Archaeological Park of Selinunte, Cave di Cusa and Pantelleria and by the entire \u201cchora selinuntina\u201d, between Campobello di Mazara, Castelvetrano, Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6640\" style=\"width: 706px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fenici.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/101068644_10157223937973730_5311346395788083200_o-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6640\" class=\"wp-image-6640 size-large lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/fenici.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/101068644_10157223937973730_5311346395788083200_o-1-1024x624-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"424\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 696px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 696\/424;\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-6640\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Media partner of the event: CastelvetranoSelinunte.it<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>The Phoenicians&#8217; Route &#8211; Cultural Route of the Council of Europe<\/strong>, which has had its headquarters in Selinunte since 2003, <strong>will be the case study of the event<\/strong>, as an example of enhancement of the cultural heritage and intercultural Euro-Mediterranean dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>The event will consist of visits, exhibitions, debates and itinerant meetings, observing the directives concerning the limit of gatherings and the risks associated with Covid-19. It will also be an opportunity to present interesting case studies on the enhancement of cultural heritage, also because of the changed conditions of accessing cultural sites. The Association has started the process of joining the Phoenicians\u2019 Route in order to develop joint initiatives fostering the involvement of the world of volunteers and archaeology enthusiasts.
