Angelofabio Attolico<\/b> joined the Steering Committee in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He holds a PhD in post-classical archaeology from the University of Bari. He has made numerous contributions to international conferences and has published several scientific papers on archaeology and medieval art history, with a particular focus on the Lombard period, ancient roads and rock settlements. He is an archaeologist accredited by MiC – Italian Ministry of Culture, an environmental excursion guide, tourist guide and tour leader recognised by the Puglia Region. He has worked on the implementation of several PUGs (Urban Planning Guidelines), with a particular focus on the conservation of sheep tracks. He is one of the authors, in the field of cultural and environmental heritage, of the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan for Culture of the Puglia Region and has collaborated as a consultant on the implementation of cooperation and excellence projects. He currently works at the Department of Tourism and Culture of the Puglia Region, where he is responsible for sustainable tourism, walking itineraries and cultural routes. He is the technical project manager for two Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: for the European Association of Via Francigena Ways, he coordinates the Via Francigena del Sud, and for the Phoenicians’ Route, he is responsible for Smart Ways and integrated experiential tourism products. Since 2020, he has been a member, appointed by Minister Franceschini, of the Permanent Commission for the Promotion of Tourism in Italy, headed by the Ministry of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He is the creator, designer and organiser of the Cammino Materano, the Via Traiana, the Via Michaelica and the Via Jonica. He is co-founder of the regional network Cammini di Puglia and the national network Cammini del Sud.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A traveller on foot and author of guidebooks, he has walked the French Way, the Northern Way, the Via della Plata, the Primitive Way, the Portuguese Way and the English Way in Europe, and in Italy, in addition to several routes in the South, the Way of Assisi, the Way of St Francis and the Way of St Benedict.<\/span><\/p>\n

He contested the Local Councils elections for the first time in 2002 and was elected as a Councillor within the Swieqi Local Council. Currently he is a Councillor in the Fgura Local Council.\u00a0He is a board member for the Traffic Management Committee by Transport Malta, the Users Committee by Planning Authority, the Malta Communications Authority Board, the Civil Society Committee, MCESD, Projects+, Resource, Recovery and Recycling Agency and Civil Protection Council.\u00a0Internationally, he is a member of the COR in Brussels, SEDEC and NAT Commissions. He graduated in Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana and obtained an MBA from the Cotrugli Business School in Zagreb in 2015. He speaks five languages fluently: Croatian, Italian, English, German and Slovenian. He is the owner of an IT company. Since 2003, he has been Mayor of the City of Novigrad in Istria (Croatia). He is President of the Local Action Group (LAG) Northern Istria and a member of the Presidency of the Istrian Democratic Assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She has served as Vice President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. Delegate of the National Association \u2018The Women of Marble\u2019 for the Marche Region.<\/p>\n

He holds a master\u2019s degree in pharmacy. Under his leadership, Ajdov\u0161\u010dina became one of Slovenia\u2019s most developmentally progressive municipality, with strong economic growth and improved collaboration among citizens, public administration, civil society, and businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n
