The Phoenicians\u2019 Route International Confederation aims to promote and assist the activities of national and transversal networks that are part of it in order to pursue the following goals:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Improvement of knowledge and dissemination of memory, history and European heritage linked to the Mediterranean, to ancient civilizations and intercultural dialogue<\/li>\n
  2. Promotion of Mediterranean culture and intercultural dialogue in Mediterranean regions and countries, their tangible and intangible historical heritage, landscapes and environment.<\/li>\n
  3. Promotion of sustainable and responsible cultural tourism activities through, among other things, the enhancement of identity and creativity.<\/li>\n
  4. Promotion of the International Network of the Phoenicians\u2019 Route as well as the program, activities and values of the Council of Europe.<\/li>\n
  5. Organization of research activities related to tourism and culture, to sustainable local development and the increase in the connected labour market, including the growth of new generations.<\/li>\n
  6. Promotion and support to the protection of cultural landscapes and traditions related to Mediterranean culture to preserve them as a common heritage of countries and regions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To achieve these objectives, the Confederation can join international, national or regional bodies and organizations in harmony with its obligations and carry out the following activities:<\/p>\n

    • Actions focused on youngsters<\/li>\n
    • Actions to protect the historical, cultural and artistic dimension of the route<\/li>\n
    • Actions to promote sustainable, slow, creative and experiential tourism in the territories involved<\/li>\n
    • Actions of interaction with other Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe or other cultural paths for the affirmation of common values<\/li>\n
    • Communication actions<\/li>\n
    • Operator training actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
