As a result, through the certification of the Council of Europe, the Association of the Phoenicians\u2019 Route holds the exclusive internationally on issues of the Route.<\/p>\n<p>The applicant is aware that the adhesion to the Phoenicians\u2019 Route Association implicate, in particular, the following\u00a0<strong>fundamental obligations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to promote the values of democracy and cooperation among the populations as a foundation for a peaceful and civil coexistence;<\/li>\n<li>to guarantee an active participation in the activities (scientific and educational ones, international dialogue, cultural tourism) of the Phoenicians\u2019 Route and the payment of the annual fee established by the General Assembly of the Route;<\/li>\n<li>to guarantee the respect of the criteria of each Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (Resolution CM\/Res (2013)67 of the Council of Europe,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/search.coe.int\/cm\/Pages\/result_details.aspx?ObjectId=09000016805c69fe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Rules for the award of the \u201cCultural Route of the Council of Europe<\/em><\/a>\u201d) listed below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cooperation in terms of research and development<\/li>\n<li>Enhancement of memory, history and heritage of Europe<em>\u00a0<\/em>and Mediterranean<\/li>\n<li>Cultural and educational exchanges among European youngsters<\/li>\n<li>Contemporary cultural and artistic practice<\/li>\n<li>Cultural tourism and sustainable cultural development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Organizations that can join the Phoenicians\u2019 Route are: public local authorities, chambers of commerce, foundations, associations, ONG and other institutions that bring together territorial authorities working for the enhancement of cultural, tangible and intangible, natural heritage of the Mediterranean and linked to the Ancient Civilizations of the Mediterranean and their sites, or having historical\u2010cultural relationships with these Mediterranean civilizations, with the Mediterranean Intercultural Dialogue and sustainable and responsible tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Scientific Institutions, Research Centres, Universities can join the\u00a0<strong>International Universities Network \u2013 IUN<\/strong>\u00a0promoted by the Phoenicians\u2019 Route.<br \/>Museums and cultural sites, both public and private ones, operating in the above\u2010mentioned fields, can join the Network of\u00a0<strong>Mediterranean Museums \u201cMeMuNet\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0of the Phoenicians\u2019 Route.<br \/>Schools of all levels in the Mediterranean area that are interested in developing good practices of heritage pedagogy linked to the ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean can join the\u00a0<strong>Network of Mediterranean Schools \u201cEduNet\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0promoted by the Phoenicians\u2019 Route.<br \/>Since 2019 (on the occasion of the ITB Fair in Berlin) the \u201c<strong>Phoenicians\u2019 Route Tour Operator Alliance<\/strong>\u201d has also been operational, a network that brings together tour operators from around the world wishing to collaborate with the Route on innovative models of cultural, experiential, creative and responsible tourism.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element supreme_leaflet_map supreme_leaflet_map_0\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div
