The 5th Assembly of the Spanish Network of the Phoenicians’ Route, December 16th

The 5th Assembly of the Spanish Network of the Phoenicians’ Route took place on Wednesday 16 December 2020. All 36 members of the national network participated in the online event.

The online meeting began with welcome speeches by Antonio Barone, Director of the Phoenicians’ Route and by Arturo Ruiz, President of the Spanish Network of the Phoenicians’ Route; following, some General Projects concerning the entire International Confederation were presented: Eleonora Sandrelli, Coordinator of the Phoenicians’ Route Museum Network presented the projects for 2021 and Sara Ferrari, Executive Secretary of the Phoenicians’ Route presented the activities of the University Network. Finally, the projects of the new nautical Smart Ways, following the example of the one developed in Galicia: Balearic Islands, Cadiz and the land Smart Way between Crevillent and Guardamar.

The second part of the Assembly was dedicated to the presentation of the new members: the Port of Cadiz, the Municipality of Cadiz, the Municipality of Vélez-Málaga, the Strategic Agency for Tourism of the Balearic Islands – AETIB and the Municipality of Almuñécar.

In the concluding section, Manuel Peregrina, Technical Secretary of the Spanish Network of the Phoenicians’ Route, presented the 2020 Annual Report and the proposals for 2021.

Congratulations to the Municipality of Linares elected as venue of the VI Assembly of the Spanish Network of the Phoenicians’ Route, scheduled for November 2021.
