The Sicani Outdoor Association in collaboration with The Phoenicians’ Route has organized a fascinating week-end between Selinunte and Porto Palo (Sicily), two days between Sea, Nature and Culture.
The initiative started saturday with a visit to the Farmhouse “Case di Latomie” where participants could taste the famous “Centonze” extra virgin olive oil and visit the millenary “Latomie”, over-ground mines where people from Selinunte used to collect large blocks of limestone for the construction of their city.
On Sunday, however, there was a pleasant ArcheoTrekking in the Nature Reserve of the Belice River’s Mouth and within the Archaeological Park of Selinunte and Cave of Cusa.
