VII Training Academy for Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, Yuste (Spain), June 12th -15th

The European Institute of Cultural Routes, the European Routes of Emperor Charles V, the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the Regional Government of Extremadura, and the Provincial Government of Caceres, will organize the VII Training Academy for Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe taking place from June 12th – 15th June 2018 in the Royal Monastery of Yuste and Palace of Charles V, in Cuacos de Yuste, Extremadura, Spain.

This year, keynote speeches followed by fishing pool workshops will be held around the theme “Innovation and New Trends in Cultural Routes: (Re)interpreting European Cultural Heritage”. The training seminars will explore innovative emerging trends in the cultural, tourism and digital sectors and give insights on how Cultural Routes of the Council Europe can seize opportunities in these domains.

This year the Training Academy is open also to candidate routes; a special session to present guidelines for certification as Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe will be held by the European Institute of Cultural Routes on June 12th.

The Phoenicians’ Route, too, will attend this important event, represented by two delegates: Dr. Manuel Peregrina, member of the SteeringCommittee and Executive Secretary of the Phoenicians’ Route Network in Spain and Dr. José Maria de Juan Alonso, responsible for Cultural Routes on behalf of OITS – International Organization of Social Tourism, transversal network of the Phoenicians’ Route.
