SummerCamp 2017: in Castelvetrano, young people from all over Europe!

On July 22, the SummerCamp 2017 started, the traditional young exchange organized by the Rotary club of Castelvetrano – Belice Valley, within the international program “Rotary Youth Exchange“. By July 31, some families will host young people from all over Europe, with the aim of promoting global and European citizenship.

This year the title is “Discovering Sicilian Heritage” and these days young people, both foreign and Italian, will be led on a journey to discover the material and immaterial heritage of the province of Trapani, from the historical-cultural, to the archaeological, agro-gastronomic, naturalistic and marine. Partners of the project are the Trapani Conduct of Slow Food and the Phoenicians’ Route, which promoted a photographic contest that will lead the participants to fix in the picture the most salient moments of the journey.

Important moment of the initiative the visit of the Governor of District 2110 Sicily-Malta, the maltese John De Giorgio, who will accompany the group to Selinunte and a path of knowledge of Rotarian values, and the contribution that a club service can offer to a territory, becoming a resource.
