Festival of the Intercultural Dialogue on the Phoenicians’ Route 2018

Ramadoro Festival invites you to discover Elba’s west coast, its cultural and natural heritage. An itinerary among stories and traditions, creativity and talents, landscapes and local food.

An itinerant initiative entirely made possible with the support and collaboration of the local associations. From July 4 to July 19.

Typical flavors rediscovered by local producers, stories of commitment in the search for our roots, stories of characters and passion, eco-sustainable projects, original creations and works of ingenuity, and many excursions on paths reopened by volunteers to show you the extraordinary landscapes of this beautiful Italian island.

The XIIIth edition of the Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival will be held on Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th August 2018, at Fort Manoel, Manoel Island, Gzira, at 8.00 pm.

Twelve writers from nine countries are reading at the festival, which also features Maltese and foreign poetry films, Maltese electonic music, a book stall, a book binding stand by Kotba Calleja, drinks and a selection of food by CORE GREEN organic & fairtrade.

The authors participating in this XIIIth edition are Juana Adcock (Mexico/UK)Clare Azzopardi (Malta), Massimo Barilla (Italy), Aslı Erdoğan (Turkey), Jean-Rémi Gandon (France)Arjan Hut (Ljouwert, Netherlands), Laia López Manrique(Spain), Caldon Mercieca (Malta), Teodor Reljić (Malta), Philip Sciberras (Malta), Sjón (Iceland), and Ali Thareb (Babel, Iraq).

Readings will be mostly in Maltese and English, but some short works will also be read in other languages.

The festival is part of a three-year Cultural Partnership Agreement between Inizjamed and Arts Council Malta and, this year, stage of the Festival of Intercultural Dialogue promoted by our Cultural Route.
